Flash CS5 Pro will provide iPhone compatibility

Even if Apple still does not want to include a Flash plug-in in the mobile version of Safari, Adobe, for its part is determined to promote Flash on all platforms, including the iPhone, and will therefore provide iPhone support in Flash Pro CS5, the next version of the Flash development environment.
Of course, it is not about building iPhone targeted web applications in Flash, which is impossible without the consent of Apple. But Flash CS5 Pro will include a compiler able to create a native iPhone application from a Flash project The development environment will also give access to a part of the API provided by Apple through the iPhone SDK. Once compiled, the application will have to be validated by Apple to be distributed on the App Store.
If this solution does not solve the problem of the access to web sites requiring Flash, it at least has the merit of allowing Flash developers to target the iPhone platform without learning a new language. And perhaps, to encourage Apple to change its position about the Flash plug-in? Let's hope so...
