A few days ago, Apple has removed from the App Store the Google Voice applications and all applications derived from this service. A withdrawal that was debated a lot on the Internet and which caused the opening of a US federal investigation against Apple and AT&T.
On his side, Google was quick to react, by offering web version of Google Voice optimized for iPhone. Thus, the service is available again to iPhone owners, and Apple can't do anything against it, since beginning to block some websites would be very bad for their image.
For those who doesn't know, Google Voice is a service to send SMS and make calls at lower cost, while benefiting from a single telephone number managed by Google and whith whom the user can be reached wherever they are.
