Podcaster now on Cydia

Podcaster is an application that has received much attention in the iPhone community: developed to be sold on the App Store, Podcaster was refused entry to the shop since Apple considered it redundant with the podcast management features built in the iPhone. That refusal marked the beginning of a movement of discontent among iPhone developers...

However, the application provides a real improvement when compared to what Apple offers in iTunes: with Podcaster, it is possible to manage podcasts on the iPhone, while with iTunes, we must systematically go through the computer synchronization to subscribe to a stream, download episodes, delete those that have been read, etc...

With Podcaster, all this can be done on the iPhone, via a very nice user interface. To make your life easier, Podcaster also offers a directory of podcasts that you can browse by date, popularity or notes and where you can search by keywords.

For the podcasts to which you subscribed, it is possible to manage the status of each episode (read / unread), download or delete an episode and obtain information and a link to its web page.
